This 5 day training course is aimed at those who wish to become climbing instructors and supervise single pitch climbing and abseil sessions but who need extra preparation or refresher training before attending an SPA Training course and who therefore need to gain their NGB (National Governing Body) Award in climbing instruction with the Single Pitch Award.  The course goes through the syllabus covering all aspects of what will be required of you should you choose to go for the SPA training course and then assessment.  There will also be the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with real client groups and for you to quiz your instructor and get the benefit of their experience in the industry.


This training also features as part of the Fast Track Instructor Course on which you will have 2 weeks devoted to climbing training in preparation for your SPA Training course, should you be ready.
Both the Train for SPA and Train for ML courses are really designed to give you the time and so the opportunity to get your experience and knowledge to the required standard under close guidance from one of our experienced instructors so that you attend a training course excellently prepared


To gain the most from this intensive period of preparation training you need to be already leading at V Diff.
Have already registered for the SPA Scheme and be a member of the BMC (British Mountaineering Council).


Equipment
You will gain the most from this course if you bring your own equipment although PPE is available and there will be opportunities to discuss equipment with the instructor.
