This course is aimed at those who wish to work within the outdoor activity industry and includes intensive training packages that help you work towards and gain National Governing Body (NGB) qualifications such as Mountain Leader  Training England’s (MLTE) Single Pitch Award (SPA) and Summer Mountain Leader, the British Canoe Union’s  (BCU) Level 1 and Level 2 Kayak coach awards as well as star awards in various kayaking and canoeing disciplines, the Health and Safety Executives (HSE) 24 hr First Aid in the workplace with extra emphasis on  first aid for the outdoors  industry and the Mountain Bike Instructor Award Schemes (MIAS) Level 1 and Level  2 Mountain Bike Instructor award.


The course is residential and located on Dartmoor the centre for the outdoors industry in the South West, although for elements of the course we will re-locate to South and North Wales to take advantage of the different environment and to help participants gain valuable mountain experience in as wide as possible a range of areas.
